So, what went wrong?
She could hear music from the metro wall. It was captivating, so she followed the sound and it led to this place where she met him.
It was a familiar tune she had heard so many times, but she couldn’t remember what tune it was, or where she heard it.
After walking around for a while, she found a door leading to the bar that produced the melody. Finally, she said, trying to push open the door, but she couldn’t get in. It won’t open.
She knocked on the door to see if someone would hear her, but no one did. She went around the building to find another door that could open, but she could hear the melody fading away. Realizing she was moving farther from the bar, she went back to the locked door and knocked on it again, but it didn’t open, and just when she was giving up, and about to continue her journey, a guy walked up to the door and opened it.
That was easy, she said, staring at him, laughing and feeling stupid. Yeah, I guess, he said, looking at the bold sign that said ‘pull’.
